“Okay Korra. Once you start the call, you can’t hang up. Only Bolin can,” Mako bursts into laughter. “You know. Once he figures it out,” He bit his bottom lip and began to laugh again.
“Mako. How did you ever come up with this game?” Korra asked as she leaned over to kiss him. He smiled against her lips.
“I’ll never tell,” He whispered in between kisses.
“We’re family. All of us. If we break apart, we have nothing left.”

After my last drawing of Kya, I got to wondering why their family stayed in the South pole in the first place. Katara’s waterbending posed a threat not only to them, but to the entire tribe. I chalked it up as kind of an act of defiance stemming from how much the water tribes valued community.
